Stock Market update -Jul 29th

We were up a bit for the week, with lots of earnings reports and lots of ups and downs, but the S&P500 up-trend from April is still intact (chart below). The SmallCaps and the Nasdaq100 pulled back.
GDP was up, coming in at 4.1%
Bonds dropped, while Gold was flat, and Oil was up a bit.

FB lost 20% after reporting earnings, as did TWTR! INTC also dropped...
AAPL and TSLA report next week.

Stock Market update -Jul 8th

Markets rallied on Friday after the Jobs report, and the start of US/China tariffs. The unemployment rate rose from 3.8 to 4%.

We could be starting another leg up in the S&P500, though earnings will confirm this over the next few weeks. Some of the banks begin reporting next week.

Oil held up, and Bonds were up again!

Stock Market update -Jul 1st

The pullback continued this week in the indexes, but the recent uptrend could still be intact. Next week we have the 4th of July holiday on Wednesday, and the Jobs report on Friday. We closed out the 2nd Quarter at a loss from the January peak so far (chart below). Basically we have been consolidating those gains for the past 5 months!

Oil rallied, while Gold pulled back. Bonds were up too.
