Stock Market update Jul 26

The SPX was down a bit this week after taking out the Jun high. MSFT & TSLA both dropped a bit after reporting earnings. INTC crashed. This week we get most of the FAANG stocks reporting, along with a slew of other companies, along with a Fed meeting, and a possible new Covid stimulus announcement. The original benefits package expires this week.

Gold & Silver saw big moves up this week.

Covid cases continue to increase.

Stock Market update Jul 19

It was kind of a flat week for the SPX with a drop on Monday followed by a recovery. The Nasdaq 100 however didn't recover from that drop, while the Small Caps (IWM) recovered and then went even higher -crazy divergence in these markets. The SPX is now back up to the prior top we saw around Jun 8th-we'll see if it can take out that high.  NFLX dropped after reporting earnings. And Covid cases continue to increase. 

This week we get more earnings which will probably guide market direction. Last week we got the big banks, all with good reports except for Wells Fargo.

Stock Market update Jul 12

The market (SPX) moved up again this week, maybe working its way up to fill the gap from early June.  The Nasdaq took out the same Jun high weeks ago, and by a wide margin! Tech shares have been on fire, along with TSLA. This week kicks off earnings season, with some of the major banks reporting, as well as NFLX on Thursday. 
We continue to see huge increases in Coronavirus cases.

AMZN topped $3200 per share this week!
Gold continues to rally.

Stock Market update -Jul 05

We got a nice rally this week, taking us up to the top of the recent range, and within a short distance of the gap from a few weeks ago near 3200. The Jobs report still shows a massive unemployment level (around 20 million), but the market celebrated with a big rally, as the data was better than expected?? We also are seeing huge increases in Coronavirus cases as well, but the market doesn't seem to care.

Gold could be set for a breakout from the recent trading range.
