Stock Market update -Mar 11th

Big rally this week as the Nasdaq 100 takes out the prior highs and closes at new all time highs! The S&P500 may play catch-up this coming week. A great Jobs report helped on Friday. This week we also have Options Expiation for the month and for the quarter. Bonds seem to be trying to find a bottom here.

Stock Market update -Mar 4th

The market reversed course once again with a downward slide this week, based partly on proposed trade tariffs by the President, and also on the Feds testimony. Rates on the 10yr and 30yr Bonds may have peaked for now based on the charts. This week may help determine whether the market will continue the rally or the pullback, but it seems volatility remains somewhat elevated. We get the Jobs report on Friday.

We got a nice boost on Friday, but was pretty much unchanged for the week on the S&P500. The QQQ did end up higher though. We could see a rally back up to the previous all time highs of January.

Stock Market update -Feb 18th

We got a big recovery rally from the prior week's sell-off. Lets see if it continues -Monday the market is closed. This pullback was steeper and faster than any in 2017, so maybe 'this time is different', and maybe the selling isn't quite over yet... we'll see.

Bonds, Oil, and Gold moved up. Bitcoin continued to move up too...

Stock Market update -Feb 11th

We got another big sell-off this week as interest rates continued to rise. For the first time since the election we are seeing a pullback in the market. We could reverse from here with a short-term rally, but with the recent damage done to price levels, I don't expect all time highs to come back anytime soon. Instead we could see more selling after a bounce from here... time will tell.

Bonds, Oil, and Gold corrected again. Bitcoin bounced...

We finally got a down week, and a big one too, after many, many months of rallies! Supposedly the selloff was due to concerns over rising interest rates. The Jobs report was as expected, except for an increase in average hourly earnings. Bonds sold off on the news, as did stocks.

Oil and Gold corrected a bit. Bitcoin continued to drop...
