Stock Market update

Stock Market update -Apr 22nd

Looks like we started to roll over again this week, continuing the downtrend that started from the peak in Jan, with AAPL leading the decline on Friday. Bonds dropped as well! Oil was up. We get earnings from big Tech this week, followed by AAPL the following week -this will probably drive market direction in the short term. The Energy sector continued to rally this week (XLE, XOP, etc) as we await earnings from CVX & XOM on Friday.

The market was up this week, but still struggling to mount a meaningful rally.
Oil rallied and broke out above the recent prior tops.
Bonds seem to be in a range.

Stock Market update -Apr 8th

We ended the week mostly unchanged, though not without its ups and downs. Not helping was a disappointing Jobs report on Friday. The market is at a decision point, sitting at a support level, where it could bounce, or fall right through. I suspect upcoming earnings will guide the next move.

We closed out the quarter with a small loss for the first time in a long time! Tech sold off this week too. Could be a quiet week ahead of earnings coming in the following weeks. We are pretty much at a support level on the S&P 500 chart, so we could see a bounce from here, or not...

Stock Market update -Mar 25th

The market tumbled this week based on the new tariffs to be imposed on China and potential trade wars.
The DOW saw its worst week in 2 years. Tech & Financials were both down. The Fed also raised interest rates as expected. Bonds, Gold, and Oil were all up.

FB had a rough week based on user data being misused by a London firm.
