Stock Market update -Sep 2nd

The SPX finally took out the old Jan high, to close at new all time highs! In fact all the major indexes (except the DOW) closed at all time highs. AMZN and AAPL continued to march higher, seemingly for no reason. Marijuana stocks rallied too.

Stock Market update -Aug 19th

Markets were like a see-saw this week, ending slightly higher, after a big rally on Friday from WMT and AAPL. Concerns linger over Turkey, and trade tariffs with China and others. Earnings season is pretty much over now.

The SPX is still trying to reach up to the all time highs made in Jan (the Nasdaq 100 and the small-caps (IWM) surpassed it a while back, thanks to the technology and small-cap stocks). Other indexes are still below though like the NYA and the DOW.

Gold dropped, Oil dropped, Bonds were up a bit...

WMT, JWN  popped on earnings
TSLA dropped... so did M, JCP, AMAT

Stock Market update -Aug 12th

The market rallied, then pulled back on Friday to give back some of the gains. The S&P500, could still be heading back up to the Jan high, while the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) and the Small-caps (IWM) remain comfortably above the Jan high. The DOW is the weakest of the indexes, still a long way off its Jan high.

Gold was flat, as Oil dropped a bit. Bonds rallied as the S&P dropped on Friday.

ROKU, TWLO,  popped on earnings!
TSLA rallied on a tweet about going private at $420 per share...

Stock Market update -Aug 5th

The market rallied on Thu & Fri after AAPL  & TSLA reported earnings. This is the 6th consecutive rally week for the S&P500, as it heads back up to the Jan high!

The Jobs report came in a little weak...

Gold dropped again.

AAPL and TSLA popped on earnings!
