Stock Market update -Nov 12th

The market pulled back a tiny bit this week after a very extended run, with the small-caps (IWM) leading the way down. Earnings reports are mostly over now, and we could see the markets settle in for a bit.

Bonds dropped a bit, while Oil continued to move up. VIX was up a bit. Corp Bonds dropped...

Stock Market update -Nov 5th

Another repeat... "Another week, another move higher to new all time highs in the market, and the VIX drops lower again. Next week we get a slew of earnings (see below) that could affect some markets. Wait... that's the same thing I said for the last 3 weeks! Nothing's changed -the market powers higher yet again..."

There is some divergence though -The Small-Caps (IWM) are trending down, and Bonds are moving up as stocks also move up. One of them will soon change!

The new Tax plan was unveiled this week, a new Fed Chairman was announced, we had the monthly Jobs report, and a terrorist attack in Manhattan that killed 8 people -all without any impact on the markets.

AAPL WAS UP on earnings! FB, SBUX, and BABA were flat...
AVGO may buy QCOM

Bonds & Gold were down as the dollar moved up.

IBM had a big pop on earnings, even after reporting lower sales & earnings, with 22 quarters in a row now of declining numbers!
